The design for the building in Joana Angelica Street, in Ipanema, proposed its rehabilitation and adaptation to a modern and functional "hostel", with a capacity of 88 beds.

The building is located in a noble zone of the city, and the proposed design was sensitive to its historical and architectural value. Therefore, all the valuable elements that make up the facades are preserved, including the design and typology of the frames. The rehabilitation results in the maintenance and cleaning of facades, replacement of railings enclosing the lot for a glass railing and adaptation of the roof terrace. On the inside, due to the change of program, we proposed a total redesign of the building.
