CASA MIGUEL TORGA

Miguel Torga, pseudonym of Adolfo Correia da Rocha (São Martinho de Anta, Sabrosa, Vila Real district, August 12, 1907 – Coimbra, January 17, 1995), is considered one of the greatest Portuguese writers of the 20th century.
He was borrn in this small house in São Martinho da Anta, after his death his family donated itto the Portuguese State that is now converting it into a house museum.
The project triest to keep the spaces intact as they were when Miguel Torga Lived in the house, and where intervention is more imposing all elements overlap the original and they can be removed to restore the house as it was originaly.
There is a new reception area and a gallery space where his manuscripts will be exhibited.
