ARCHIOLOGICAL RUIN

This exercise presented to us a Roman ruin partially visible in the basement of a residential building. The aim was to design a public use space where you could visit and see the ruin, a piece of architectural history.
In this small space traces of two Roman buildings are visible: a dwelling (domus) and a Roman bath. Through the use of different materials the spaces of both buildings are distinguished and people can have a feeling of the scale of the spaces that used to exist there as they walk through the ruin.
